Portfolio

During my career, I have had the opportunity to work on many different projects. Here are a few of them:

Connective Agency

I assisted in the development of the Connective Agency site by building out various page templates. The site used various animations and design elements which gave me an opportunity to learn new techniques that I had not had a chance to use before. The site uses PHP, HTML, CSS, SASS and JS.

Two Roads Consulting

I and another developer were in charge of creating this site. The design involved a very unorthodox layout with multiple overlapping elements and various animations. Languages used included PHP, HTML, SASS, JS and Bootstrap. I got to learn how to use CSS grid for this project which I hadn’t worked with before.

Dallas Rent Relief

This was a site that needed to be made on a very tight timeline, as there was a substantial amount of money that needed to be distributed to families ASAP. The site needed to be built in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese, and building it involved extensive cooperation between myself, managers, designers, and copy writers. The site used HTML, SASS and Bootstrap. Through the site we were able to help over 2,800 families pay their rent and avoid eviction due to COVID-19 related hardships.

SealPro Pavers

I took over the creation of this site partway through development. As it was, the site was not very mobile responsive and various elements had been left unfinished. I ended up having to rewrite a large amount of code in order to clean it up and make it more mobile friendly. There was also a scrolling animation that I had to create on the desktop version of the site. Languages used included PHP, HTML, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap and JS.

Comunidad Partners

I was the lead developer on creating this site and was involved in all steps of the SDLC process, from receiving the sitemap, communicating with the client, managers, and designers, initializing the site, setting up FTP, repositories and branch permissions, to creating the site using PHP, HTML, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap and JS. The site had many UI/UX elements I had never made before such as a viewport based video header, an infinite text marquee scroll, a horizontal scroll card section, a forced vertical scroll alongside part of a page, a carousel with partial visibility of the other items, various animations, etc. In addition, I had to make sure the site and its elements were editable via the CMS and had to change the backend CMS to reflect the frontend and make it easy for non-developers to go in and edit any section that they needed to.

Agape Care Group

We were tasked with creating 3 sites for our client, 1 for their SC location, another for their GA location, and 1 for their main site which is the one I was in charge of. This site involved multiple redesigns and extensive collaboration between myself, the designers, and my co-developers. The site used PHP, HTML, SASS, CSS and JS. I was also assigned to work on various features on the other 2 sites including an interactive counties map on the GA site and a togglable alert system across all 3 sites.

RentPress

RentPress is a WordPress plugin owned and operated by 30 Lines. During my time there, I contributed to the plugin by fixing bugs as they came up, testing new features, and deploying new versions of the plugin. In addition, I assisted in the creation of templates for an updated version of the plugin. Some of the languages I used on my work with this plugin were PHP, Angular, HTML, CSS, and SASS. You can find more information about the plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/rentpress/

Clinton County

I was the project lead on creating a brand new website for the client. I was involved in all steps of the SDLC for this project, from gathering requirements, communicating with the client, managers, and designers, initializing the site, setting up FTP, setting up repositories and branch permissions, to actually creating the site using PHP, HTML, CSS, SASS and Gutenberg, and integrating all the necessary plugins that the site would use. The site used the companies own starter theme which I and another developer had created previously from scratch.

Crest at Skyland

I and another developer were in charge of creating a brand new website for the client. I was involved in all steps of the SDLC, from gathering requirements, communicating with the client, managers, and designers, initializing the site, setting up FTP, setting up repositories and branch permissions, to actually creating the site using PHP, HTML, CSS, SASS, and Gutenberg as well as integrating all the necessary plugins that the site would use. This site was also the first WordPress site that we created using our companies own starter theme, which I and another developer created from scratch.

Venterra

One of the largest client sites I have worked on. I frequently fixed bugs, added new features, made style changes, met with clients, tested outgoing code, created new pages, and converted old Angular code into PHP for various page templates. In addition, I also created an error reporting system that worked with the clients CRM and a form plugin in order to let the client know when their CRM had rejected a form application. Some of the languages/technologies I worked with on this site are PHP, Angular, HTML, CSS, SASS, XML, JS, and Regex.

WCSmith

Another large client site that I worked on. We were tasked with building out the entire site within an extremely short deadline. I ended up assisting by creating new pages, populating pages with content, and adding/configuring plugins. I would go on to frequently fix bugs, add new features, make style changes, meet with clients, and test and deploy outgoing code. A lot of my work on this site involved integrating various plugins such as Divi, Final Tiles, and Modula using PHP and CSS/SASS.
The above projects are those which I was more heavily involved with. However my career has given me the opportunity to work with many other sites in more of a support role. Most of the sites listed below are ones where I was regularly tasked with making style changes, adding new feature updates, or making plugin configurations.
